A Really Random and Retarded Play

by Warrior Princess

I know this play is VERY random and VERY retarded and VERY short but I'm experiencing both writer's and actress's block right now and it was the best I could come up with. It's a dialogue between the two sides of my brain: the writer side and the actress side. Enjoy! :D

Me: Hello, Myself.

Myself: Go away.

Me: Missed your coffee fix this morning, huh?

Myself: Go away.

Me: Dropped your iPOD and busted it into a bajillion teeny weeny pieces?

Myself (growling): [i]Go away.

Me: Oh, I got it. You're suffering writer's block, eh?

Myself (sullenly): Bin-go.

Me: Hey, cheer up. I'm suffering actress's block.

Myself (bored): Oh really.

Me: Yeah I didn't get that part I auditioned for in [i]The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Myself: My troubles are weightier than thine. I have all this literary creativity bubbling inside me, but I can't think of anything to write about!!! [i]Do you hear me?!!! CANT THINK OF ANYTHING TO WRITE ABOUT!!!

Me: But you're writing something this very instant.

Myself: I am? I AM!!! [i]EUREKAAAAAA!!!

Me: Yeah well that's all well and good for you but it doesn't help my actress's block. I can't seem to land in a play [i]anywhere.

Myself:  I've GOT it!!! I'm writing a play, right?

Me (uncomprehending): Uh, yeah.

Myself: And it's only got one part . . .

Me: Yeah . . . ?

Myself: . . . And that one part is for Me . . .

Me: Uh-huh . . .

Myself: So you can have the part!

Both: HURAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!

And I lived happily ever after. :D

Wow I found that very entertaining and humorous! Yes, it's random and retarted, but that's the best part! :( ! That was a creative idea, good for a kids book.

You should read the sticky about how to format a script. This is more like a blog post gone wrong than a script. Also, there are many format errors, for instance, you never ended your italics, making everything look odd.

It was fun to read...I don't think you could really do anything with it but it was cute as far as just something to read when you are bored...

:D

Oh the angst! Well, I can't really talk, as I'm enjoying a lead role in an upcoming production myself.... :D

But I digress.

This script is cute, and not altogether uncreative, but I really don't see this going anywhere, and ever becoming that interesting. I see it as a bit of therapy, but not really something worth posting here for critiques and such.

Also, I defy you to include the emote in the play. Can it happen? I think not.

A lot of fluff, but not really that important. Good luck with your block(s)!

Well, though this may have been entertaining to write, it's not particularly entertaining to read. Sorry to be harsh--but don't post something you aren't serious about. That means don't post something you didn't seriously work on. I really don't mean to be rude, but think about it: why should I seriously critique something you don't care about? I shouldn't...

And if you do like writing plays, consider taking a look at the post on how to format them properly. ;-)

"weightier" What does this suppose to mean?
I like your play but kind of hard to follow and has no good point.
But i like it as something fun to read.

Happy writing!!! Gothgirl01
